Happiness Project - Second Post!

Accepting the things around you for what they are is really important. It's hard to get into the groove of happiness if you're always frustrated because you're trying to change things that you just can't. There are all sorts of quotes that sum up this principle, but I'm particularly fond of this little bit from an episode of (one of the two TV shows I actually watch) Dexter:

This lesson can be applied to all sorts of things, people, situations, and quite literally, objects around you. Some things just will not change, and putting all of your energy into trying to accomplish the impossible will just leave you frustrated and exhausted, with nothing left in you to put forth towards the things you actually CAN change! If you don't want a chair, then go out and find a table!

Until next time!
